Oct 21st 2009 -- Microsoft Windows 7 Launch in 2 hours time

Windows 7, the much awaited Windows Operating System after Windows Vista will be officially released on October 22nd 2009. It is meant as a replacement to the buggy Windows Vista. There will be 3 versions available; Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Ultimate.

I have installed Windows 7 Ultimate on a Fujitsu Lifebook S6510. Installation of the OS was a breeze. It took only about 35 minutes to install on the Lifebook s6510 which had 4GB Ram Memory. The installation is much faster than Windows Vista. Windows 7 optimizes your Ram Memory and uses it much more efficiently. One of the cool features of Windows 7 is the "Snap" feature whereby you can easily resize open windows by dragging it to the edges of your PC/Laptop Screen.

For a full list of features in Windows 7. Please click on the following link "Windows 7 Features"

A thumbs up to Microsoft for working on a new Operating System to save us from losing faith in them after the Vista "perils and troubles".

Please feel free to comment anything regards to Windows 7 and how it has benefited/worsened your life?
